Pottinger has redesigned its proven rear-mounted Novadisc mowers with side pivot mounting. The new Novadisc mowers replace the previous model, which has become well known thought-out New Zealand over the past 18years. Novadisc mowers stand for cost-effectiveness, low power requirement, and reliability. These advantages really come into play on steep inclines, rough ground, and when mowing embankments. Thanks to their low power requirement, small tractors from 40HP upwards can operate Novadisc models 262, 302, and 352 with working widths between 2.62 and 3.46m. Therefore these mowers are particularly suited to farms in hilly terrain.
The Novadisc rear mowers feature a new optimised center of gravity, ensuring safe and compact road transport. During transport, the mower is folded through 102degrees. This provides a clear view to the rear in both rear-view mirrors. In addition, the mower can be stowed vertically using the new optional parking stand to save space.
The driveline and the drive belt tensioner have been redesigned to making it easier to tension the belts and to ensure a robust and reliable power transmission.
Pottinger also adds to the enjoyment of mowing with the latest eye-catching design of the Novadisc.
The Novadisc rear mowers with side pivot mounting are highly adaptable to ground undulations boosting a +22/-30 degree arc of movement on the cutterbar, this enables easy mowing on rough ground and embarkments. Mowing up to +45degrees by lifting the interlock latch is also possible for short periods.
Thanks to the adjustable mounting pins, these mowers can be hitched up to the tractor and quickly and easily.
A proven lifting system lowers the mower so that the outer end of the cutterbar contacts the ground first. When lifting at the headland the inside end is lifted first, providing optimum protection of the sward.
The mechanical collision safety device, which enables a swing-out angle of approx. 12degrees protects the machine. The swing-out function prevents damage to the mower in the event of a collision with an obstacle. After it has been triggered, simply reverse the machine of a short distance to engage the cutterbar again.
Two suspension springs guarantee the cutterbar applies hardly any pressure to the ground. Weight alleviation is adjustable in three stages without the need for tools. The unique kinematics ensure that the cutterbar applies the same pressure to the ground over the entire cutting width. The ground pressure can be adapted to suit individual operating conditions thus reducing wear and power requirements to a minimum.
The new Novadisc rear mowers with side pivot mounting easily cope with every bump in their path.
